How do I fit a thick tube?

Instructions

Written by Aurélie Bonalair
  1. Bend the tube at an angle of around 55 degrees.

2. Cut the tube at an angle so that it can be pulled through the earpiece easily.
3. Use the Comfoor LifeShell tool to fit the spring in the tube. Use the long thin pin for this so the distance between the earpiece and the tube is about 3 mm after the curve following assembly.

Tip: Comfoor supplies three variants of pre-bent tube: standard, skin tone and long-life. With pre-fitted 14 or 17 mm springs if desired.

4. Slide the tube into the earpiece so the spring clamps into position and does not protrude. Pay attention to the direction of the tube in doing so.
5. Cut the tube as close to the sleeve as possible.

Always ensure the tube fits around the ear correctly. An incorrectly positioned tube can cause the earpiece to come out of the ear.

Tip: Remove the tube by pressing it back with the tool’s thick pin.
