To ensure the RIC hearing aid fits properly, it is important that the tube is in the correct position. If the tube is positioned incorrectly, it puts pressure on the earpiece, which can cause it to fall out.

Steps

  1. Place the RIC in the ear without connecting the hearing aid to it.

  2. Do not position the tube behind the ear yet.

The tube should already be in the correct position.

3. If the tube is not in the correct position, adjust it by bending it as follows:

    a. Heat the tube with the aid of a blow-dryer.

    b. Bend it into the correct position.

    c. Fix it in this position using freeze spray.
